Chapter 90: Chapter 90

Silvery moonlight flooded the hospital room through the large window with a view of thenight sky. Caspian Montague sat on the edge of his bed with his back against the cool glass, staring out into the void of the stars that felt so faraway. His suit, typically a marker of steadfast leadership, draped baggily over his emaciated body, sleeves rolled to expose pale.quivering arms. The sounds in the room were hushed, the hum of medical machines in the background and the occasional siren echoing in the distance.

Caspian's emerald eyes, weighed down by exhaustion and despair, mirrored the storm raging inside him. But it was the weight of Hayes Enterprises, the legacy of the Montague family, and the endless struggle against Soren that had taken him to the limit. Every hour that he lost sleep, every dot in the matrix that he shifted, every bit of energy that he expelled had led him to this, a moment of complete fragility.

The stillness was broken by a soft knock on the door, and in walked Celeste Montague, moving silently with auburn hair falling in loose waves over her shoulders. She had a lithe way about her, a sense of grounding not found in the surrounding chaos. She wore a simple but graceful dress that emphasized her physique and walked up to Caspian with needful affection shining from her green eyes.

Celeste enveloped him in a wordless hug. As her warm fingers pressed against his chilled skin, he felt her promise to always be there for him, even if only as a comforting presence. Caspian closed the distance to her.his head pressed against her shoulder, tension bleeding from his body in exchange for her soothing warmth.

Celeste's eyes filled with tears; she squeezed him, moving her fingers to

stroke his back in a rhythm that matched his slow, steady breath."Caspian,"she said, thick with unshed tears, "you need to sleep. Let us handle this.Your health matters more than anything else."

However. Caspian weakly shook his head, speaking just above the hush of the night. "Don't leave me, no matter what happens."

A plea in his voice made Celeste's heart ache and so she tightened her embrace. She stared into his eyes, depths of her struggle shown as well as having the relentless will that had carried him this far. "I swear, I won't leave you. Together we'll get through this."

Moonlight threw their silhouettes onto the wall, and the room held a breath, the not-so-implied understanding between them saying more of love and war yet to come. The night dragged on, their fated bond heavy;in that moment, their secret offered a chuckle in the weight of it.

Then Caspian closed his eyes, the exhaustion getting to him at last as he let himself lean completely into Celeste's embrace. They knew that the road ahead would not be easy; it would be full of danger and lies, but the force between them gave them hope of strength. It was just the beginning, and there was a lot more at stake than just Hayes Enterprises.

The conference room had a flurry of movements, the air thick with anticipation and urgency. Celeste Montague stood at the head of the classroom, her auburn hair primly coiffed, her emerald eyes sweeping over the features of Talia, Roman and Valentina. Late afternoon sunlight threw long shadows through the large windows, refracting a mix of natural light and the soft glow of overhead lamps throughout the room.

Talia, her chestnut hair slicked back into a ponytail, leaned in with steely eyes. His dark hair slightly mussed, Roman looked like a man who possessed quiet strength, and Valentina, glamorous and put-together.

stood there with a stack of papers in her hands. They were a wall of strength, every man on the same page, fully cognizant of the importance of the occasion.

Celeste inhaled deeply, speaking with authority. "This is our final opportunity to bring down Soren and Sterling. We need to take a public, irreversible step that will give no basis for their trickery to prosper." Her eyes locked onto each of them as she made sure everyone knew what was at stake.

Valentina stepped up and fanned the documents out on the table. "These are the personal letters and financial records we've seen. They reveal Soren's manipulation and Sterling's illegal overseas investments. There is enough evidence to start a federal investigation that will break them down."

Roman said with determination evident on his face. "We have to work with the authorities to make sure that this is something that people can come out and see with no doubt about their guilt. Timing is everything-we hit tomorrow at the shareholders' meeting."

There was fire in Talia's eyes; she had made up her mind. "We have to gain the support of key allies in the company." "If we can get most of the board on our side it only strengthens our position and will leave no room for last-minute sabotage on their part."

"Don't worry about it," Celeste said, patting Valentina on the shoulder."We've come too farto let them win," she said. Tomorrow we will reclaim Hayes Enterprises and make sure that our family's legacy will endure. This ends now."

There was a palpable sense of purpose and unity in the room as they nailed down their plans. They were aware of the risks each expedition carried with it, but the potential for justice, as well as saving Caspian, was

C1ouSret was not a decisión they carried lightly, but there they stood, strong as a group, prepared to take the final move to secure the future of Hayes Enterprises.

Talia bent closer, her voice a whisper. "Tomorrow, this ends."

The oath was unspoken between them, an unbreakable word that there would be no stopping until their enemies had been stomped into dust and what was theirs reclaimed. As they prepared to make their decisive move, the team sensed the momentousness of their circumstances; the outcome would shape their lives and the future of their family for years to come.

The cavernous hall filled with both shareholders and press, the air crackling with expectancy. The chandeliers above sparkled, illuminating the swoon stage where Sterling Price loomed large and lovely. His navy suit was tailored to perfection, hais silver hair slicked back, his icy blue eyes surveyed the crowd with measured calm.

Sterling took to the stage with a microphone in hand, and the room quieted. He was larger than life, and when he started to speak, all eyes were on him. "Ladies and gentlemen, thank you for being with us today. At Hayes Enterprises, we are on the threshold of a new era, one that guarantees growth, stability and unprecedented prosperity."

He paused for effect, letting his words sink in, the audience hanging on his every word. "Due to recent events and to further ensure our company's success, I have decided that I will be taking full ownership of Hayes Enterprises,"This decision has been taken after due consideration and is in the interest of our stakeholders."

The cameras of the media were on him at every speech of his, flashing at every movement he made. The shareholders smiled, as some were enchanted by his confidence, and others were convinced by the bright

future they were about to experience with himas their only leader.

But would-be applause and murmurs of approval were chased away by a shadow falling over the room behind the line, where Roman Martinez stepped forward. He raised a folder thick with papers, dark hair tousled, emerald eyes alight. His footsteps echoed ominously as he walked toward the podium, and the room went silent.

Sterling kept his composure, his smile unfazed as he gazed down at Roman. "Roman, what is the meaning of this vitiation?"

With a sigh, Roman held onto the calmness of his speech even as they all felt the weight of the moment. "These papers reveal Sterling's trail of illegal offshore investments and his scheming moves to take over the assets of Hayes Enterprises. Such a public betrayal cannot remain unrecognized."

Shareholders and members of the media leapt out of their seats. Nearing the end of the presentation, many members only just caught onto the fact that it was no longer safe to remain seated as the room whirled into chaos.Yankel's facade of confidence started to crack, his eyes narrowing as the betrayal that was happening before him dawned on him.

He neared the podium, his voice regained its power as he spoke to the crowd. "Ladies and gentlemen, these are baseless, fabrications. Sterling Price is just acting quickly for the better of the company against the people inside. Have faith in his ability to lead, and together we will be phenomenal."

He talked with a knowing smile thatdidn't hide the exasperation in his eyes. Some continued to back Sterling, while others started to doubt the veracity of his lofty declaration.

Sterling leaned closer, lowering his voice to a conspiratorial whisper heard only by those nearby. "Ladies and gentlemen, it is time for a new era at Hayes Enterprises."

The declaration lingered in the atmosphere, with the chamber on the brink of confusion and chaos. The real treachery was exposed, but the fight for power was not yet over. The outlook for Hayes Enterprises was still murky, although the tangled web of alliances and duplicity threatened to come apart in ways nobody predicted.
