Chapter23 Immediate Bankruptcy

"I gave you many chances, but you didn't know how to cherish them. It's impossible now."

After giving Hillmountain a solid shove, Westfield turned to face Redsprings and asked, "Redsprings, what will happen to the John family after they go bankrupt?"

"The bank will seize all significant assets belonging to the John family because they are currently insolvent. They would have to keep paying back the bank's debts in addition to being made homeless," Redsprings reported right away.

"Perfect!”

Westfield nodded in satisfaction, smirking as he continued coldly,"Previously, the John family thought highly of themselves and looked down on me, humiliating me. Now, Autumnheights give them the same humiliation they gave me."

He then turned to Vincent, who was cowering behind others and

trembling. Ever since he discovered Westfield's true identity, he had been terrified. As the George family's young master, he could move freely in Meadow Park.

However, he knew very well that he meant nothing in front of Westfield.

Westfield really wanted to ruin him now, and the George family didn't dare to utter a word.

Before, when he saw Westfield confronting the John family, he had been praying that he would forget about this.

Only Hillmountain watched Westfield's figure, with an icy gaze resembling a venomous snake.

"Westfield, wait. I need to talk to you,” Hill Park chased after Westfield from behind as he came out of the room.

"I have nothing to discuss with you," he said without even turning his head, already making it clear to Hill Park the last time they spoke.

"Are you really planning to reject the family's decision of making you the heir? Have you considered the consequences?”

"Did they ever think that when they first banished me back then?I'm not the Jeremy family's dog; they can't push and pull me around as they please," Westfield retorted,sneering.

"Westfield, I hope you can always be this stubborn!" Hill Park said angrily.

Westfield paid her no attention and left directly.

As he walked out of the hotel, he suddenly felt a sense of relief as he looked at the busy street ahead.

For the past few years, he had been living for others. Now, thinking about it, he found it somewhat ridiculous.

From now on, he would live for himself.

At that moment, his phone in his pocket vibrated. It was a call from Ridgeland.

"Finally, you picked up the phone. Is eating with me really so hard for you? We discussed it yesterday, and despite my repeated calls,you didn't even return them!" Ridgeland was dissatisfied from the moment the call connected.

"Sorry,something came up and I didn't hear you calling," Westfield apologized.

He took a taxi. When he arrived, he saw Ridgeland waiting for him at the entrance.

"Sunrise Restaurant?”

He was momentarily taken aback when he saw the restaurant's name.

“Don't let the fact that it's a restaurant make you overlook it. This is one of Meadow Park's few fine-dining establishments. This place has better-tasting, more pricey food than some five-star hotels! Normally,I can't bear to visit this place," Ridgeland explained with seriousness.

"I know."

Westfield nodded. Sunrise Restaurant was a high-end chain restaurant under Kenneth Scott, his famly's restaurant. How could he not know about it?

He just hadn't been here before because he married into the John family.

"Let's go, I finally managed to book a seat. If we're late,someone might snatch it from us!”

Ridgeland said and quickly pulled Westfield into the restaurant.

The restaurant's interior was luxurious and elegant, exuding a sense of extravagance.

After presenting their reservation number, Ridgeland and Westfield were led to a table by a glass wall where they could enjoy the viewv outside.

"What kind of food are you craving? Don't hesitate to choose whatever you want!"

She handed the menu to him and said confidently.

"Aren't you usually reluctant to eat here? Won't it hurt you if I eat whatever I want?" Westfield laughed.

"You saved me before. If I hesitate in paying your meal, wouldn't that be rude?" Ridgeland revealed her bright white teeth and smiled mysteriously.

"In addition, you seem like my lucky star. Not only did you save me

yesterday, but I also unexpectedly signed a large deal! I won't think twice about you ordering the priciest dishes!" Yesterday,she and Frank had been talking business when that occurrence happened.

She thought the collaboration would definitely fail. However, Frank unexpected apologized to her and even signed a bigger contract!

He admitted that his people had acted out of line and offended her.and the new contract served as an apology!

This made Ridgeland both surprised and delighted. She figured it was probably because Frank didn't want the situation to escalate and tarnish his reputation, so she didn't suspect Westfield's involvement.

But no matter how Westfield played a part in it, as soon as the contract was settled, she immediately wanted to treat him to a meal.

"Is that so? Then I won't hold back."

Jeremy smiled at her words, his eyes subtly shifting as if he knew the reason behind it. Despite that, it seemed that Ridgeland was unaware of the specifics, and he didn't mention them in details,either.
