Chapter37 Westfield's Prestige
"Where are you going without my permission?!"
Gary was angry by Westfield's indifference, shouting at the latter's back.
Unfortunately, Westfield ignored him completely, not even pausing for a moment as he disappeared instantly.
"I'm now John Reed chairman, so how dare this worthless man be so arrogant?!"
Gary slammed the table in anger, the joy from becoming the chairman vanishing due to Westfield's lack of concern.
"Sir, even though you are the chairman, Westfield has already severed ties with the Jeremys. You can't control him anymore."
“What makes you think I can't?!"
Redsprings seethed with an unpleasant expression.
"Shut up and know your place. You're just the Jeremy family's dog.so what gives you the right to talk to me like this? As the chairman.I order you to get Westfield out of this place immediately! I don'e want to see him leaving unharmed; I want him crawling out like a stray dog!”
Gary vented all his anger on Redsprings in an instant, pointing angrily toward the door.
"I apologize, Sir. Even if I am a dog, I know not to bite the hand that feeds me. I know my place, so I won't bother to submit my resignation letter. After all, you probably won't even readl it.Anyhow, goodbye!"
Redsprings snorted with an unpleasant expression and, without hesitation, chased after Westfield with Gary's sinister gaze behind him.
He was a loyal person. How could he abandon Westfield at a time like this?
"This is outrageous! You're nothing but a dog, and only I can give you the juiciest bones! You've reallylost your mind, to follow useless Westfield! Do you think I can't finish both of you off?"
Filled with rage. Gary shouted and cursed at Redsprings's receding figure, but all he got in response was Westfield's resolute footsteps!
At that moment, his hatred for them had reached its peak. He wanted nothing more than to find a way to them disappear without a trace!
"You go and bring them back! I want to see them begging on their knees!"
He stormed to the door and angrily ordered the Jeremy family's bodyguards he had brought with him.
"Sir, the company isn't a place for physical confrontation. Moreover,Westfield is skilled in combat. The elders have instructed you to exercise restraint, and Logan should be here soon! Once he arrives, you can decide how to deal with them!"
The leader of the bodyguards immediately tried to persuade Gary.
"So, you're implying that you're not a match for Westfield? And that you're afraid?"
Gary sternly asked.
"Well... I thought it'd be better to wait for Logan to join and increase our chances. Westfield, may not be my match, but I'm worried he might run off. If we're going to take action, we shouldn't give him even the slightest chance!"
The bodyguard's face looked uncomfortable as he explained with a lowered head.
"Useless, all of you are useless!”
Gary cursed in anger twice in the direction Westfield and Redsprings went.
Without the title of chairman, Westfield could no longer take the chairman's private elevator. It wasn't that the security guards wouldn't allow it, but it was just impermissible.
After leaving the meeting room, he simply took the stairs down.
Not long after, Redsprings also followed from behind.
"Redsprings, why must you do this?" Westfield didn't stop walking, his voice soft.
Sighing heavily, Redsprings walked behind him. There was no need for guessing or questioning; the answer was obvious.
“I know what I should do. Besides, even if I stayed. I'd only be no less than a dog in front of some people!"
Redsprings responded calmly with a smile.
Westfield remained silent, but a slight smirk appeared on his. lips involuntarily.
Though Redsprings rarely expressed his loyalty, he knew very well that this person who had followed his father for many years was undoubtedly the one he trusted the most!
Although they were walking down the stairs, they still had to cross the entire office area to reach the company's main entrance.
On the other hand, Gary had already taken the elevator with his men and arrived at the lobby, waiting to see Westfield and Redsprings look lost and out of sorts!
When Westfield appeared in the lobby, all the employees around looked at him.
At the same time, many employees from the 2nd and 3rd foors also appeared in the circular corridors. All of them had their eyes fixed on him.
Westfield continued looking forward, but his footsteps suddenly paused briefly before he resumed walking to the entrance.
“Westfield, I wiIl make all of John Reed employees see your miserable appearance and pitiful end. Don't worry, Autumnheights make you know the feeling of wanting to die!"
Gary revealed a sinister smile on his grim face.
However, this smile froze by the next second. He was infuriated when he saw how the new employees stared at Westfield. Although they didn't dare approach or speak to him, they all bowed down toward him as a respectful way of sending him off!
After all, they all knew that his great contributions were the reason behind the company's present success!
"Damn it, damn it! Did I tell you all to bow to him? Didn't I tell you to mock and scold him for being so ignorant?!"
Gary lost control of his emotions, angrily yelling at everyone.
However, nobody responded. After Westfield walked out of the entrance, they all indifferently returned to their positions as if nothing had ever happened.
"You humiliated me before you left, Westfield. Since you asked for it.don't blame me for being ruthless!"
Gary's face turned ashen and he clenched his fist tightly. He ordered the bodyguard beside him,"Keep a close eye on him and arrange things immediately. I can't wait any longer!”
The bodyguard's eyelids twitched upon hearing this, but he swallowed his words when he saw Gary's intimidating gaze.
"Not laying a finger on him within the company has been my greatest restraint!"
Gary reminded with narrowed eyes.
"Autumnheights get it done right away!"
The bodyguard could only promise reluctantly.
At the same time. Westfield and Redsprings had just walked out of the company. They stopped, staring at the company they had built from scratch.
"Sir, do you regret it? “Redsprings asked quietly. Despite Westfield's calm face, there was a resolute glimmer in his eyes.
