Chapter 101: Chapter 101

Sophia Merouin held a grudge against Jenna Roland after that night at Studio 54.

As Jenna got into the car after work, she spotted the black Volkswagen Passat tailing her in the rearview mirror.

Her lips curled into a cold smile as her fingers tapped lightly on her knee.

Sophia didn't waste any time seeking revenge.

"Take me to the police station," Jenna suddenly told the driver.

The car changed direction, and the Volkswagen immediately turned the opposite way at the intersection.

Only then did Jenna relax her tense shoulders.

"Change of plans. Beverly Hills, please."

It was 4 AM by the time she got home.

Dawn was breaking as she finally crawled into bed after her shower.

She slept like the dead until the shrill alarm jolted her awake.

Her phone screen lit up with an incoming call from Grandma Blanche.

"Jenna dear, don't bother cooking lunch. Grandma's treating you to a restaurant today."

Rubbing her eyes, Jenna protested, "Eating out is too expensive. Let's just—"

"Ethan's coming too," Blanche interrupted. "He already agreed."

Jenna's words died in her throat.

"And another thing," Blanche said meaningfully, "you're legally married now. Stop calling him 'Mr. Roscente' all the time."

Heat rushed to Jenna's ears.

Calling him by his first name? Just imagining it made her fingertips tingle.

"Let's take it slow..." she mumbled.

Blanche chuckled on the other end. "Fine, start with his name first. There'll be plenty of opportunities for more intimate terms later."

Jenna nearly dropped her phone.
