Chapter 118: Chapter 118

Jenna Roland took a deep breath, her eyes icy cold. She glared at the woman. "Compensation for emotional distress and medical bills—not a penny less. And expect court summons soon."

She turned to Liam Hill with a nod and strode into the hospital room, slamming the door shut behind her.

Inside, Milo Roland lay on the bed with an IV drip. Jenna sat beside him, gently holding his hand. "Don't worry. I'm here."

Milo's eyes reddened, his voice choked. "I'm sorry, sis. I caused trouble again."

"Don't be silly." She patted his hand. "Rest. I'll watch over you."

His rib fracture wasn't severe. The doctors opted for conservative treatment—a small mercy given his congenital heart disease.

Soon, Milo drifted into sleep.

The door creaked open as Liam entered, keeping his voice low. "They want to talk again."

Jenna scoffed. "My terms are clear. Pay up and apologize, or we go to court."

"They said Sheng Fei is young. A criminal record would ruin his future—"

"Eighteen is adulthood." She cut him off. "He owns his actions."

Liam sighed and left.

Jenna stayed by the bed, unwavering. With no one else to care for her brother, she dialed Tristan Ashcroft.

"Boss, my brother's hospitalized. I need a week off."

Silence stretched on the line. "A whole week?"

"Problem?" Her tone turned frosty.

"N-No. Take care of him." Tristan reluctantly agreed.

She hung up.

Minutes later, Liam returned.
