Chapter 220: Chapter 220

Jason ignored Jenna's icy glare and walked straight to the couch, sitting down. He pulled out his phone and quickly dialed a number saved under "10086."

The aroma of food wafted from the kitchen. As Jenna plated the last dish, the wall clock struck half past eleven.

The front door swung open. Victor and Fiona walked in one after the other. Jenna silently set the table before calling everyone to eat.

"Aren't you eating?" Fiona glanced at the empty seat.

Jenna shook her head. "I ate before coming."

Victor set down his farming tools. "Come with me to weed the orchard this afternoon."

"Fine." Jenna agreed without hesitation.

Victor frowned at the all-vegetable spread. "Not even a piece of meat?"

Jenna stood beside him. "Meat prices went up. I didn't have enough money."

Jason slammed his chopsticks down. "What about the money you earn at the club? Can't even spare a few bucks for meat?"

"Why should my money feed you?" Jenna smirked coldly.

Heidi rolled her eyes. "So stingy. How much could meat possibly cost?"

"The orchard makes hundreds of thousands a year. If you won't even buy meat for yourselves, why covet my paycheck?" Jenna crossed her arms. "I'm not your cash cow."

Fiona tried to mediate. "She's right. It's not her responsibility."

Victor shoveled rice into his mouth without a word. Jenna's gaze lingered on Heidi before curling into a smirk. "Sis-in-law, you might want to keep an eye out. Wouldn't want your husband to run off with someone else without you knowing."

She hadn't found all the evidence yet, but with her father's will and bankbook secured, Jenna had no qualms about exposing everything.

Jason's face paled. "What nonsense are you spouting?"

"Take it literally. Or do you need it spelled out?" Jenna arched a brow.

Heidi whirled toward her husband. "What have you been doing behind my back?"

Victor slammed his bowl down. Every time Jenna visited, chaos followed.

"She's lying!" Beads of sweat formed on Jason's forehead.

Jenna shrugged. "Just saw a strange number in his phone—something like 10086. Why don't you call it yourself, sis-in-law?"

Jason's pupils constricted. How did she know about that number?

Heidi snatched his phone and dialed the number from his contacts. When Jason tried to stop her, she slapped him across the face.

"Shut up!" she snapped.

The line connected. A sugary female voice cooed, "Jason, missing me already? It's only been an hour since you left..."

Heidi froze as if struck by lightning. The phone clattered to the floor.

Jason dropped to his knees, clutching her legs and begging for forgiveness.
