Chapter 250: Chapter 250

Jenna Roland paused, then chuckled softly. "Don't worry, I'm an excellent judge of character. He's not the type you think he is."

"If you're so sure, then I won't say more," Stella Laurent replied flatly from her hospital bed.

Jenna stood. "Get some rest. I'll visit again soon."

"Okay." Stella turned to her sister. "Sylvia, could you walk Jenna out?"

"No need," Jenna waved her hand. "I can find my way."

Lucien Valois suddenly rose and gestured firmly toward the door. "Miss Roland, allow me."

After a brief hesitation, Jenna followed him out.

The moment the door closed, Sylvia's expression darkened.

"Remember what I told you about Lucien?" she demanded, staring at Stella.

Stella nodded. "Of course. Why?"

She remembered all too well—her sister had warned her that Lucien was a notorious playboy who kept Sylvia as his mistress.

Sylvia smirked coldly. "He's set his sights on Jenna. Warn her to stay away."

"What?" Stella's eyes widened in shock. "That's impossible!"

"He specializes in seducing beautiful women." Sylvia's gaze turned icy. "Why else would he insist on escorting her out?"

The realization hit Stella like a truck. Her stomach twisted with dread.

Not only was Lucien married, but his wife came from an influential family. If Jenna got entangled with him, the consequences would be disastrous.

"I'll call Jenna right now." Stella bit her lip anxiously. "Sis... why don't you leave him?"

Sylvia inspected her manicure indifferently. "He has money. I have looks. It's a mutually beneficial arrangement."

"But if his wife finds out—"

"We're careful." Sylvia cut her off. "If I don't cash in on my youth now, what will I have when I'm old?"

Stella swallowed her words. She knew her sister's stubbornness—once Sylvia made up her mind, no one could change it.

She could only pray this dangerous game wouldn't end in disaster.
