Chapter 252: Chapter 252

Sylvia's affairs ultimately belonged to the Savigny family's private matters.

Jenna Roland had no intention of meddling.

"Oh, he also asked for my number. I didn't give it to him."

"Typical playboy!" Stella Laurent's voice dripped with disgust. "Don't even acknowledge him."

"Got it." Jenna finished her cola and tossed the can into the trash. "I'm going to nap for a bit."

"Mm."

After hanging up, Jenna couldn't be bothered to return to her bedroom. She stretched out on the sofa instead.

Scrolling through her phone, drowsiness gradually overtook her.

Her eyelids grew heavy, and soon she drifted into sleep.

When she awoke again, the setting sun cast long shadows through the window.

She boiled a simple bowl of noodles, did her laundry, then got ready for work.

Her phone rang just as she arrived at Studio 54's entrance.

Grandma Blanche.

Jenna parked and answered the call.

"Grandma."

"Are you busy?"

"Just got to the club. What do you need?"

"I'm sending you a menu. Let me know which dishes you can prepare. I'll adjust the rest."

"Alright, go ahead and send it."

The text notification chimed moments after hanging up.

Jenna reviewed the menu carefully before calling back.

"Grandma, I can make all of these."

"Really? Wonderful!" Delight warmed Grandma Blanche's voice. "I was worried we'd have to change the menu. You're amazing!"

Jenna scratched her head sheepishly.

"They're just home-style dishes."

"That's no simple skill!" Grandma Blanche enthused. "Why don't you open a restaurant? Your grandfather and I could invest."

Warmth bloomed in Jenna's chest.

"I'll think about it."

"No rush." Grandma Blanche sounded pleased. "Since you can handle everything, I'll have the villa prepare the ingredients."

"Thank you, Grandma."

"Get back to work now. Talk soon."

Tucking away her phone, Jenna entered the club after parking.

At six p.m., fresh from the staff meeting, Jenna was changing when Patrick Klein appeared.

"Come with me."

She followed him to the lounge.

The door clicked shut behind them. Patrick's expression turned grave.

"The mayor's son is here. Given his status, I'm entrusting him to you." His voice dropped. "No mistakes."
