Chapter 262: Chapter 262

Jenna Roland frowned deeply. "Boss, are you afraid I'll bring trouble to everyone?"

Tristan Ashcroft took a deep breath. "Lucien Valois isn't someone ordinary people can provoke. If he targets you, none of us can protect you."

Jenna's heart trembled.

She hadn't expected Tristan to fire her for this reason.

Though it hurt, she understood the truth.

Lucien was indeed beyond their ability to oppose.

Her leaving would be best for everyone.

Jenna bit her lip. "I understand. I'm sorry, Boss."

Tristan lit a cigarette. "How did you even get involved with him?"

Lucien had visited the club once two years ago and never returned.

Jenna briefly explained how she'd met him.

Tristan cursed aloud after hearing her story. "That bastard! Preying on a married woman!"

Jenna cleared her throat. "Boss, about my salary..."

Tristan waved his hand. "Send me your account details. I'll transfer it tomorrow."

"Thank you, Boss." Jenna turned to leave.

Tristan rubbed his temples in frustration.

If not for Lucien causing trouble, Jenna could've worked at least two more weeks.

How much money would she have earned him in that time?

Damn that bastard!

If not for his father being Vincent Valois, he'd have made sure Lucien left on a stretcher tonight!

His phone suddenly rang.

Tristan answered. "Mr. Roscente, Lucien was taken away by his father. Jenna's unharmed."

Ethan Roscente's icy voice sent chills down Tristan's spine. "Did he touch her?"

"No. Fortunately, his father arrived in time."

Tristan was once again stunned by Ethan's connections.

To actually summon Vincent Valois himself...

"Hmm." Ethan hung up coldly.

The office door suddenly swung open.

Gavin Valentine and Liam Melford walked in.

Tristan looked up. "Finished drinking?"

Gavin stood before the desk. "Was it you who notified Vincent Valois?"

Tristan gave a bitter smile. "Do I look that capable? I don't even know where he lives."
