"She's not from a prestigious family, just an ordinary girl." Grandpa Harrison Roscente's hearty laughter came through the phone. "Though her background is modest, this girl has remarkable resilience. Quite endearing."
Felix Savigny's brow furrowed. "An ordinary family?"
"Yes. Her parents passed away early, and now she lives with her younger brother." Grandpa Harrison's tone remained cheerful. "We'll invite you to the wedding celebration. I must go now—another meeting awaits."
After hanging up, Felix turned to Audrey and Cecilia Savigny with a grim expression. "Ethan Roscente has indeed registered his marriage. To a girl with no connections whatsoever. How could the Roscentes allow this? They've lost their minds!"
Audrey gasped, covering her mouth. "Ethan married a commoner? Impossible!"
"If only I knew the reason!" Felix massaged his temples in frustration.
Cecilia bit her lip, her voice trembling. "Dad, if I can't marry Ethan, the Roscentes won't help us. With the company's broken capital chain, we're finished without their support!"
A cold glint flashed in Audrey's eyes. "Did the old man mention the girl's name?"
"No." Felix shook his head.
"Then we'll find out." Audrey's voice turned icy. "Once we locate that woman, we'll make her leave Ethan willingly."
The Savigny Group teetered on the brink of collapse. Only the wealthy Roscentes could save them now. This was the legacy of generations—if it crumbled under Felix's watch, he'd never face his ancestors in the afterlife.
Cecilia fretted. "Mom, they're already married. If Ethan truly loves her, even if she agrees to divorce, he won't."
"We won't know until we try." Audrey squeezed her daughter's hand. "Cecilia, don't you remember your childhood promise to Ethan? You vowed to be his bride. This is your chance. Your father and I will make it happen."
No one knew Cecilia's heart belonged to another—her boyfriend, a graphic designer at an ad agency. Though his salary barely covered rent, he'd shown her real love. The arranged marriage had filled her with resistance.
Now Ethan's sudden wedding brought unexpected relief. She could only hope his love for that girl was genuine—so she wouldn't be forced into the Roscente family.

"Achoo—"
In the living room, Ethan sneezed three times in succession.
Jenna Roland had just ended a client call when she heard the commotion. Peeking around the doorframe, she asked, "Catching a cold?"
Ethan gave her a pitiful look. "I'm heartbroken."
"What nonsense?" Jenna frowned.
"You won't bathe me." He stepped closer, eyes brimming with accusation.
"...Drop dead!" Jenna rolled her eyes and slammed the door shut.
