Chapter 418: Chapter 418

Without hesitation, Zachary Macmillan dumped his rice into the stir-fried pork with lettuce.

Yves Deross was quicker, mixing his entire bowl into the scrambled eggs with tomatoes.

Vincent Roland slammed the table. "Are you insane? How am I supposed to eat now?"

Multiple chopsticks pointed at the lone bowl of seaweed egg drop soup.

Vincent's temple throbbed. He wanted to wring their necks.

Though Jenna Roland's cooking was indeed irresistible, their table manners were atrocious.

"Ethan Roscente is truly living the dream," Yves mumbled through a mouthful of food.

......

Jenna circled the flea market three times before finding a shop specializing in wrought iron fences.

"Bulk discount," the shop owner said around his cigarette, gesturing. "Measure first, then quote."

She left her number, emphasizing, "The entire orchard needs fencing."

The owner stubbed out his cigarette. "I'll send someone to measure this afternoon."

"I also want it electrified. Know any reliable electricians?"

The man grinned. "Lucky you. My younger brother specializes in that."

Jenna jotted down the number and dialed from her car.

"Safety guaranteed," the voice on the line promised. "Installed for hundreds with zero incidents."

Only then did she relax.

"I'll contact you once the fence is up."

The next day, returning from grocery shopping, she received the measurement call.

A quick WeChat transfer sealed the deal.

"Work starts today. Labor costs $200 per worker daily."

Tying on her apron, Jenna agreed.

Her daily routine never wavered: cooking, delivering meals, and supervising the work.

With Ethan attending a business dinner, she ate alone before heading out with the insulated lunchbox.

A hundred meters of steel mesh already stood at the orchard entrance, its sharp spikes glinting coldly in the sun.

"Slow down," she sighed, watching the workers devour their food.

Setting the lunchbox aside, Jenna rolled up her sleeves and joined the fruit tree pruning crew.
