Chapter 454: Chapter 454

Grandma Blanche patted Jenna's hand affectionately. "Don't worry about the wedding arrangements, dear. We'll take care of everything."

Ethan tapped the table with his long fingers. "Do you prefer a traditional or Western-style wedding?"

"Traditional," Jenna answered without hesitation.

Grandpa Harrison's eyes lit up. "Excellent! We'll do it the proper way!"

Jenna suddenly remembered something. "The fruits in the orchard are almost ripe. We could use them for the wedding."

"That's a wonderful idea." Grandpa Harrison beamed.

After dinner, Ethan began clearing the dishes. Jenna followed him into the kitchen, where they worked side by side, washing and drying in comfortable silence.

In the living room, heated discussions erupted. Grandma Blanche and Grandpa Harrison were passionately debating wedding details while Benjamin and Grace stood by helplessly.

Grace suddenly pulled out a gold card and pressed it into Jenna's hand. "Here's half a million for your personal expenses."

Jenna took a step back in shock. "Mom, this is too much!"

"Take it." Grace firmly closed Jenna's fingers around the card. "The PIN is six zeros. Spend it however you like."

Tears welled in Jenna's eyes as she hugged her mother-in-law. "You're too kind to me. Just tell me what you'd like to eat, and I'll make it for you."

Grandpa Harrison chimed in, "You're always welcome to move back here."

"We'll stay where we are." Ethan draped an arm around Jenna's shoulders. "It's quieter."

After seeing their relatives off, Jenna stared at the burning-hot bank card uncertainly. "This money..."

"Keep what Mom gave you." Ethan lit a cigarette, his gaze softening through the smoke. "Buy whatever you want."

Jenna looked down at the card, warmth flooding her chest. She stole a glance at the man beside her, grateful she hadn't let him slip away.

Ethan exhaled a smoke ring and suddenly ruffled her hair. "What are you thinking about?"

"Nothing." Jenna leaned into his embrace. "Just how lucky I am to have met all of you."

Outside, the setting sun stretched their intertwined shadows long across the floor.
