The second floor of the mall glittered with dazzling lights. Jenna Roland held Ethan Roscente's arm, her gaze drawn to a display window of a women's boutique.
"That dress is stunning." Her eyes lit up as she tugged Ethan toward the store.
His phone suddenly rang.
"Go ahead and browse. I need to take this." He glanced at the caller ID—Lucas Roscente, his assistant.
Jenna nodded and entered the shop alone.
She headed straight for the teal-blue gown, fingertips brushing lightly over the fabric. The luxurious texture made her eyes widen—this was premium material.
"Madam, our pieces start at fifty thousand." A saleswoman approached in stilettos, her disdainful gaze sweeping over Jenna's modest outfit. "If you can't afford it, I suggest you don't touch."
Jenna jerked her hand back. "That expensive?"
The saleswoman crossed her arms with a sneer. "You walked in without even recognizing our brand?"
Jenna's face flushed crimson. She hadn't noticed the label—she'd simply admired the dress.
"My apologies." She turned to leave.
"Trash like you shouldn't embarrass yourself in luxury stores." The saleswoman's voice followed her. "Can't even buy a single piece, yet you pretend to shop here?"
Jenna whirled around, knuckles whitening. "What did you say?"
The woman lifted her chin. "Am I wrong? Your entire outfit costs less than one of our scarves."
Whispers broke out among nearby shoppers.
Jenna took a deep breath, then raised her voice. "Everyone, hear this! This salesperson claims poor people don't deserve to shop!"
A crowd quickly gathered.
The store manager rushed over. "Madam, is there a problem?"
Jenna pointed at the saleswoman. "Does your brand offer seven-day returns?"
"Of course." The manager forced a smile.
"Perfect." Jenna walked to the clothing rack, tapping various pieces. "This one, this one, and that... I'll take them all."
Gasps erupted.
"She's insane! That's hundreds of thousands!"
The saleswoman paled. "You're serious?"
Jenna pulled out her phone and dialed Ethan. "Honey, I'm at Dior. Come settle the bill."
