Tristan Ashcroft led the Roland siblings to VIP room 308 on the third floor. The space instantly brightened as the lights flickered on.

He strode to the sofa and sat down, gesturing to the empty seats beside him. "Make yourselves comfortable."

Milo and Jenna exchanged glances before cautiously taking their seats.

Milo clenched his fists, his Adam's apple bobbing several times before he spoke. "My sister..." His voice trailed off, face twisting with discomfort.

Tristan crossed his legs, leaning back lazily against the cushions. His clear gaze locked onto Milo's. "Studio 54 employs professional escorts, but your sister is a beverage promoter." He pointed to Jenna's uniform. "This is her work attire. Decent people see it for what it is—just clothing."

When Milo's frown remained, Tristan added, "If anyone harasses her, they'll answer to me. That goes for all my employees. Every dollar she earns here is clean."

"Are you just covering for her?" Milo's voice tightened with suspicion. He couldn't shake the thought that Tristan's defense stemmed from Jenna's profitability.

Tristan chuckled suddenly. He patted Milo's shoulder. "Your sister is excellent at sales. She just moved two bottles worth over half a million. Any boss would value such an employee, wouldn't you agree?"

Milo pressed his lips together silently.

"Mind if I smoke?" Tristan produced a cigarette case. At Milo's tacit consent, he lit up and exhaled slowly, eyes narrowing through the haze. "Every employer appreciates profitable staff. But your sister's sharp—she never takes unnecessary risks. You'd know that better than anyone."

Milo's shoulders relaxed slightly as he recalled Jenna brandishing a kitchen knife during their uncle's confrontation.

"So she's really not... one of those girls?" Doubt still lingered in Milo's eyes.

Tristan tapped ash into a tray before proposing, "How about this? Work as a temp server tonight and observe her job firsthand."

Jenna's eyes widened abruptly, her handbag nearly slipping from her grasp.
