Chapter 85: Chapter 85

Gavin Valentine hung up the phone and turned to Jenna Roland. "Prepare two more glasses. My friends are arriving soon."

Jenna blinked in surprise. She had assumed it would be just the two of them tonight.

"Of course," she murmured, refilling two glasses.

Gavin swirled his drink. "Since you're free, why not join us for a few rounds?"

Jenna instinctively glanced at Ethan Roscente. The man remained silent, his aloof demeanor making her hesitate.

Gavin followed her gaze. "Ethan, you don't mind if she drinks with us, do you?"

"Your call." Ethan didn't look up from his phone, his icy presence creating an invisible barrier.

Jenna poured herself a drink and raised her glass to Gavin with a polite smile. "Mr. Valentine, thank you for your continued patronage. This one's for you."

Gavin lifted his glass cheerfully. "The service here is excellent. Though your presence certainly makes it better."

Her pulse quickened.

Gavin clinked his glass against Ethan's. "Come on, let's toast."

Ethan drank in silence, his cold indifference as natural as breathing.

Jenna felt relieved. Their marriage was merely transactional. His detachment meant nothing to her.

She toasted Gavin again before turning to Ethan. He took a perfunctory sip, refusing to meet her eyes.

Finishing her drink awkwardly, Jenna stood. "Please enjoy your evening. I'll take my leave—"

The private room door swung open.

Three men entered. Gavin rose to greet them. "Benjamin Durant, Jack Cardenas, and my brother Calvin Valentine." He gestured to Jenna. "This is Jenna Roland, our beverage specialist. Show her some courtesy."

After exchanging pleasantries, the group settled in. Jenna wanted to excuse herself but couldn't refuse hospitality duties.

She refilled her glass. "A toast to everyone. May you have a wonderful time."

Benjamin and the others raised their glasses. Jenna set hers down. "I won't intrude further—"

Jack's gaze lingered on her. "Leaving so soon, Miss Roland? Have we offended you?"

She paused. It would be impolite to leave right after their arrival.

Turning back with a practiced smile, she said, "Then allow me to stay for two more rounds."
