"Nathan, she's been spending your money like it's water—and now she's targeting our assets. Ridiculous! When are you finally going to freeze her accounts? It's time she stopped acting like she's still part of this family."
Alexander gave him a sharp glance. "Amy and I are divorced. Freezing someone's assets isn't as straightforward as you think."
A temporary hold? Possible, sure—but for how long? A week? Two? It wouldn't make a difference.
Alexander exhaled. "I have business to attend to. Nathan, make sure Victoria gets home safely."
Nathan nodded, and Alexander strode out.
The moment the door clicked shut, Victoria turned to Nathan. "Weren't you supposed to find a way to frame her? Any progress?"
"If Amy gets convicted, all that money goes back to Alex, right?"
Nathan rubbed his temple. "Lawyers say pressing charges isn't that simple. But I've got people on it. Give it a few days—three at most."
Relief flickered across Victoria's face. Three days—she could manage that.
Victoria could wait, but Nathan's patience was already fraying.
The more he thought about it, the hotter his anger burned. "No, this can't wait. I'm going to expose that gold-digger for what she is—let the entire world see the truth."
He snatched his phone and started making calls, determined to drag Amy's name through the mud.
"She really thinks she can challenge me? Please. Just because she got her hands on a hundred million, she thinks she's untouchable? Today, I'll remind her who really controls this city."
Ruining someone's reputation was child's play for Nathan.
But outright fabrications? He wouldn't stoop that low. Amy was Alexander's ex-wife and Liam's mother—crossing that line would humiliate Alexander too.
Still, there were other ways to destroy her socially.
His voice turned icy. "Spread the word—Amy has made enemies of both me and Alex. Anyone who helps her is declaring war on us."
On the other end, the person hesitated. In Newhaven, crossing Alexander Blackwood and Nathan Prescott was career suicide.
"Oh, and one more thing..." Nathan's smile turned predatory. "Reporting her to the authorities might not get her convicted immediately, but if a journalist catches her walking into a police station? No amount of damage control will save her from the tabloids."
With that, he made a few more calls, setting his plan into motion.
After hanging up, Victoria arched a brow. "Nathan, isn't Dominic helping with this?"
"Dominic?" Nathan scoffed. "Too soft-hearted. He'd never approve of this. Doesn't matter—Alex and I can handle it alone."
In her suite, Amy scrolled through her phone.
"Wow, that violinist everyone was talking about—her social media's been wiped clean because Prescott Industries blacklisted her!"
"Rumor has it she crossed Blackwood Enterprises and Prescott Industries. That's why she vanished overnight."
"Blackwood and Prescott? Did she try to seduce Nathan and Alexander, and Victoria found out? No wonder she got erased."
"Maybe she just pissed off Victoria. Everyone knows Nathan and Alexander would burn the city down for her."
"Honestly, though, Victoria's so talented—can you blame them?"
A sharp knock interrupted her reading.
She opened the door—and froze.
Two police officers stood before her.
"Ms. Sinclair, you're under investigation for corporate espionage. Come with us for questioning."
