Chapter 62: Chapter 63

Alexander felt an icy chill crawl up his back. There was something unsettling about Amy that he couldn't quite place. Was she truly serious about ending their marriage?

Before he could dwell on it, his phone vibrated violently in his pocket. With a sharp exhale, Alexander stormed out of the room, not sparing Amy another glance.

Outside, the city buzzed with chaos. A massive screen on the skyscraper across the street replayed the infamous footage—the so-called "hit-and-run" involving Amy. But as the video played, the truth unraveled in stark clarity. Victoria’s car had veered deliberately into Amy’s path.

The crowd below murmured in confusion.

"What kind of twisted game is this? That wasn’t an accident—that was attempted murder!"

"Look at that! She didn’t even brake! That was intentional!"

"Please, who mistakes the gas pedal for the brake that aggressively? That was calculated."

Then the footage shifted—Victoria’s tearful performance, her trembling voice claiming she had only months to live, clutching the heirloom bracelet meant for the Blackwood family’s daughter-in-law.

Amy had been furious with Liam, but he was just a child. She refused to drag him into this mess, so she omitted his involvement. What remained was damning enough—Victoria boasting about how Alexander would drop everything, even his own wife, to rush to her side.

The crowd erupted.

"Victoria is pure poison. Look at her gloating like that!"

"If I were Amy, I would’ve thrown hands right then and there. The audacity!"

"Did you hear her? She actually said Alexander would abandon his wife for her? Disgusting."

Despite the overwhelming proof, Victoria’s loyal fanbase still fought back, twisting the narrative.

"Amy stole Alexander first! This is just karma!"

"Victoria is dying! She just wants to make things right. Have some compassion!"

"Amy, just let him go. You’re losing a marriage, but Victoria is losing her life!"

But Amy didn’t falter. She released evidence proving Victoria and Alexander had broken up long before she entered the picture, silencing the delusional defenders.

In a final, decisive move, Amy issued a statement:

"I’ve compiled all evidence of defamation, harassment, and invasion of privacy and handed it to my legal team. Every false accusation will be met with legal consequences."

"And for those who physically assaulted me—expect criminal charges."

By afternoon, the police confirmed the truth. After a thorough investigation, Victoria was declared solely responsible for the collision. The public was urged to cease all online harassment.

Not long after, the so-called "witnesses" who had eagerly slandered Amy came forward with tearful apologies, admitting they had lied for clout.
