Chapter 83: Chapter 84

The rain poured relentlessly, drenching Amy and Alexander within seconds. Samantha observed the dramatic confrontation from the diner window, her lips curling into an amused smirk. Suddenly, she stood up, her chair scraping against the floor.

Sebastian glanced at her, assuming she intended to intervene. "Need any assistance?" he offered politely.

"Not at all," Amy replied smoothly, pulling out her phone and pressing record. The camera lens focused on the chaotic scene outside—Alexander's towering frame looming over Victoria's trembling figure, their heated argument barely audible over the storm.

Sebastian blinked. "What are you—?"

"Documenting history," Amy said with a wicked grin. "This is either prime blackmail material or the next viral sensation. Either way, it's priceless."

A chuckle escaped Sebastian before he could stop it. Outside, Victoria's voice rose to a shrill pitch, her hands flailing wildly. Alexander's patience visibly snapped. In one swift motion, he scooped her up, ignoring her furious kicks. He barked something sharp and final, and Victoria went rigid. Without another word, he shoved her into his parked car and peeled away.

Amy pocketed her phone and resumed eating as if nothing had happened. Her hands were steady, her expression unreadable.

Sebastian studied her. "Aren't you... bothered?"

She sipped her water. "After everything they've done? I'm past feeling anything."

The days that followed were blissfully quiet.

Then, disaster struck during a casual shopping trip.

"Look who it is," a mocking voice drawled. "Amy Sinclair, playing housewife again?"

Amy turned. Nathan Prescott leaned against a display, arms crossed, his smirk dripping with condescension. His gaze dropped to the children's clothes in her bags, and he snorted.

"Pathetic. No matter how hard you pretend, Alexander and Liam will never accept you. Not when Victoria's back."

Samantha bristled. "Shut your mouth."

Nathan ignored her. "Face it, Amy. You were just a placeholder. A desperate gold-digger who trapped a man into marriage. Victoria and Alexander? That's real love."

Amy finally spoke, her voice icy. "Marriage is a choice. If Alexander didn't want it, there'd be no ring on my finger. Whatever history they had ended the day he married me."

Though Nathan towered over her, Amy held her ground, her chin lifted. "And no matter how you spin it, the woman who chases a married man is still a homewrecker."

Nathan's smirk faltered.

Samantha grinned. "Mic drop."
