Chapter 277: Chapter 277

Sophia could see right through Victoria's intentions.

Still, she asked, "What do you think, Miss Mitchell?"

Sophia was thrilled beyond measure, but kept her composure. She had been seething with resentment ever since Margaret and Victoria stopped Benjamin from transferring his shares to her.

Daniel had no merit whatsoever! What right did he have to inherit the family fortune? Was everyone supposed to work for him just because he was Benjamin's son?! In her dreams! Nothing would stop Sophia from getting what she wanted.

Family? She would eliminate anyone who stood in her way, without hesitation.

Anyone!

"Alright," Sophia agreed suddenly.

"What do you need me to do?" Victoria gave an icy smile.

"I appreciate straightforward people like you. As for the details..."

Sophia was stunned when Victoria laid out the entire plan.

To think Victoria would go to such extremes just to destroy Elise Scott completely! Sophia had to admit, the thought of Elise losing everything filled her with uncontrollable excitement.

Being the calculating woman she was, Sophia said, "What if you don't deliver Scott Enterprises after you succeed? You're in a much higher position, and I wouldn't dare challenge you. The plan itself is covert, and I'd have to suffer in silence if betrayed. Of course, I'm not questioning your integrity. But in a partnership, mutual trust works best."

Victoria handed Sophia another document—a signed stock transfer certificate.

"That's ten percent of Scott Enterprises shares," she said.

Sophia's eyes lit up at the sight.

"Your father held half the company's shares, but had to give ten percent to Elise," Victoria continued calmly.

"This ten percent was purchased from other shareholders. Naturally, I've secured their silence, so you don't need to worry about your father finding out. Once you complete what I've asked, I'll acquire another thirty-one percent. That will make you the majority shareholder of Scott Enterprises. Then, your word will be law in the company."

Pure delight spread across Sophia's face. She was practically glowing with excitement.

Victoria had done thorough research on Scott Enterprises even before their partnership—Sophia had no reason to doubt her capabilities or sincerity.

"Alright. Give me some time, and I'll definitely meet your expectations," Sophia said confidently.

"I'll be waiting," Victoria replied with a wicked smile.

Still, Sophia added, "I should be going if there's nothing else."

"No one can know about our arrangement, Miss Mitchell," Victoria reminded her.

"I've never met you, remember?" Sophia said clearly.

Victoria flashed that same wicked smile again—Sophia certainly had brains.

"See you around."

Sophia picked up the stock certificate and left, her eyes darkening as she did. Elise had only herself to blame for what was coming.

After all, it was Elise's own fault for crossing someone she shouldn't have.

The only possible outcome was Elise's complete destruction!

The public condemnation of Samuel reached unprecedented levels.

Mitchell Corp's stocks plummeted to their lowest point.

Their company was already facing a major crisis, and Samuel's scandal only made things worse, especially with no one stepping up to help them.

Their fate was sealed when Benjamin Scott publicly announced he was cutting all ties with the Mitchells after what Samuel had done to his daughters.

Just as Mitchell Corp was forced to declare bankruptcy, news came from the West Point Detention Center that Samuel had been found dead after committing suicide.
