Her declaration left the entire room in stunned silence.
Even Benjamin and Daniel were rendered speechless.
Sophia handed the documents to her assistant standing behind her.
"Distribute these to my father, my dear brother, and every senior director present."
"Right away, Madam Chairman." The assistant quickly began passing out the copies.
The documents laid out everything in undeniable black and white, forcing everyone to accept the reality that Sophia had become the largest shareholder of Scott Enterprises.
Sophia observed the disbelief etched on Benjamin and Daniel's faces and let out a cold, mocking laugh.
She had intended to reveal her trump card only when the Scotts pushed her to her absolute limit, but the burning desire to stand tall and triumphant before them had proven too overwhelming to resist.
So she had claimed the chairman's seat during this board meeting without hesitation.
The sensation of looking down upon all of them from this position of power was utterly intoxicating. "If there are no further objections, Father, Daniel, these seats are for you."
Sophia gestured coolly to the chairs beside her.
For years, Benjamin had always occupied the highest position at Scott Enterprises.
How could he possibly stomach such public humiliation, especially under Sophia's triumphant gaze? Though he restrained himself from causing a scene in front of the other directors, staying for the remainder of the meeting was out of the question.
He turned abruptly and stormed out, the door slamming shut with a resounding crash behind him.
Daniel hurried after him without a backward glance.
A smug, victorious smile played on Sophia's lips. Her father's anger provoked neither worry nor fear within her.
"Let us proceed with the meeting," she announced with unwavering authority.
She conducted the rest of the meeting as if the dramatic exit had never occurred.
Once the meeting concluded, Sophia returned to her office.
She had barely settled into her chair when her door was violently kicked open by Daniel.
Sophia lifted her gaze, her expression utterly unperturbed.
"What is the meaning of this?" Daniel roared. "You secretly acquired so many shares of Scott Enterprises? Where did you get that kind of money? How did you pull this off?! Sophia, how dare you challenge me for the family inheritance? When did you become so utterly shameless?! The Scott household is cursed with shameless women—you and Elise are exactly the same!"
His words were venomous and crude.
"Daniel, take a good look at yourself. You're a worthless bum, yet you dare to dream of inheriting Scott Enterprises? If this company ever fell into your incompetent hands, it would be bankrupt within a year!"
"Shut your mouth, Sophia!"
Blinded by fury, Daniel lunged forward, his hand raised to strike her.
At that precise moment, the security guards stationed outside rushed in and swiftly restrained him, pinning his arms and rendering him immobile.
"Let me go! Do you have any idea who I am? I'll have every one of you fired!"
"And who are you, really? Nothing but a rabid dog!" Sophia spat viciously.
"A mad dog who only knows how to bite indiscriminately. Listen carefully, Daniel, if you dare cause any more trouble, I will personally throw you out of Scott Enterprises!"
"You wouldn't dare!"
"Get him out of my sight. Now!" Sophia commanded.
The security guards forcefully dragged Daniel away.
"Release me! I'll kill every last one of you!"
His curses and threats echoed down the hallway as he was unceremoniously removed from the premises.
