Chapter 471: Chapter 471

Jenna's words pierced Yvonne's heart like a sharp blade.

Yvonne's pupils constricted abruptly. Her fingers tightened around her purse strap unconsciously.

She never expected this seemingly fragile woman to be so formidable.

"Miss Roland, blood ties can't be severed." Yvonne suppressed her fury. "Would you really deprive a child of his father?"

Jenna curled her lips in disdain, her gaze icy.

"That trick won't work on me." She adjusted her cuffs leisurely. "Even if the child is Ethan's, I wouldn't mind raising one more."

Yvonne's face turned deathly pale.

"How much money do you want to leave him?" she spat through gritted teeth.

Jenna suddenly laughed—a clear, chilling sound.

"The position of Mrs. Roscente isn't for sale." She tilted her head. "Couldn't make it abroad, so you came crawling back to your sugar daddy?"

Yvonne's nails dug into her palms.

"What Ethan and I have is beyond your gold-digging comprehension!"

"Love?" Jenna arched an eyebrow. "The kind where you bring a bastard home to claim paternity?"

Stella interjected pointedly, "Since when do mistresses have the audacity to play the victim?"

Yvonne's chest heaved violently. Even her flawless makeup couldn't mask her contorted expression.

"This isn't over!" Her stilettos struck the ground sharply as she turned away.

Watching the departing car, Jenna's smile faded gradually.

"What a vile woman," Stella fumed.

Jenna remained silent, her gaze distant.

She knew this battle had only just begun.

Inside the car, Jenna stared blankly at her phone.

"Going to call him?" Stella asked softly.

Jenna took a deep breath and dialed Ethan's number.

"Yvonne came to see me." Her voice was eerily calm. "She claims the child is yours."

The line went dead silent.

That silence made Jenna's heart sink inch by inch.

"Did you and her..." Her voice trembled slightly. "Did you ever..."

Ethan's breathing echoed distinctly through the receiver.

"Wait for me." Those three words were all he said.

Jenna hung up and looked out at the blurring scenery.

The sunlight still shone brightly, yet her world had suddenly darkened.
