Chapter 55: Chapter 55

She interrupted him, "Give me three minutes. My name is Ella Brooks. I graduated from Lincoln Tech University. I'm currently raising funds to launch my own business. I was previously involved in developing the Prometheus Project at Summit Technòlogies Group."

"Today, artificial intelligence îsn't just a concept-it's a historic step into the unknown. I want to create an AI metaverse."

"People from all social classes could utilize AI in various industries.making it a tool that benefits everyone. I know you might find my ideas far-fetched, or perhaps you think AI technology isn't mature enough yet,but if you give me a chance, I could be the lever that moves the mountain."

"I realize this is forward of me. As you said, we've just met and don't know each other. But maybe AI is the bridge between us-our meeting might be the result of algorithms and big data. Since Al created this opportunity, why not sit down and discuss it?"

"Sir, what do you think?"

The suited man arched an eyebrow, studying Ella, who had delivered such a passionate speech.

"How did you know I used an Al app to get this ride?" He asked.

Ella smiled lightly. "Because before I got in, the driver mentioned he was using algorithms to find areas with high foot traffic."

"The Victoria Harbor Technology Park has always been an Al development hub. Perhaps we're all just pieces of code or data points, which explains this coincidence." She added.

"I also graduated from Lincoln Tech," The suited man remarked casually.

Ella took a deep breath, determined to seize this opportunity.

The Victoria Harbor Technology Park was where investment magnates gathered, most of them industry-leading taents.

The place was filled with brilliant minds, and stories of people changing their social class through scientific achievements were commonplace.

Ella had heard about it from Austin.

Within the Technology Park, you could see a whole new world.

A new perspective.

Austin's company was located there.

It was where most college graduates in the city aspired to work.

Noticing Ella's prolonged silence, the suited man glanced at his wristwatch.

The watch was extremely expensive.

One glance told Ella this man was exceptional, and she was certain she had caught a genuine opportunity.

"Sir, could you drive faster, please?" The man asked the driver.

"Right away, sirl" the driver replied, still distracted by Ella's speech.

Seeing he was in a hurry, Ella leaned closer and asked, "Are you pressed for time today?"

"Yes, I'm very busy," The suited man said, glancing at her.

She bit her lower lip, then boldly continued, "Could we exchange contact information?"

"I've heard about the Prometheus Project team's dissolution and how core technical staff were poached. It's a sinking ship. Are you asking me to help bail you out?" The suited man immediately saw through her intentions.

Ella tensed her lips, gripping the leather seat, and persisted, "I'm not trying to impose. I just believe that a meeting like this is fate. This trip of yours probably isn't work-related."

The suited man's interest seemed piqued by this comment.

He lazily appraised Ella. "How did you guess that?"

"Because I noticed you're wearing Gucci Guilty-notes of pepper and lavender soap. Such an intense scent stimulus reminds me of a dangerous, handsome man in the night."

As she spoke. Ella shifted slightly closer.

She even leaned in to take a deep whiff of his suit.

As if she couldn't get enough.

The suited man fell silent.

He suspected Ella of sexual harassment.

"Am I right?" Seeing that he didn't challenge her, Ella flashed a naive smile with her water-filled eyes.

The suited man nodded, admitting, "Yes, it's this cologne. I'm meeting..."

"Your girlfriend?" She asked.

The suited man didn't respond.

Ella took his silence as confirmation and continued, "A date, right? Sir,I could help you pick out beautiful flowers to enhance the atmosphere-guaranteed to surprise her."

He smiled. "No need."

"I know a really popular flower shop. I used to buy flowers there frequently," She insisted.

Ella had bought flowers in the past because of Austin.

He had said the house needed flowers for decoration.

Otherwise,it was too dull.

To add freshness to Austin's life, she had bought a bouquet every day.

Ella thought that if she could appeal to this man's interests and connect with him,why not try?

The suited man found her increasingly boundary-pushing behavior both puzzling and somewhat admirable.

In his view, adults should be able to recognize both direct and subtle rejections.

But she clearly wasn't taking his hints.

A compliance test,perhaps?

Interesting.

"Turn around and go to this shop. It should be nearby-just a minute's detour that won't delay your date," Ella instructed te driver.

The suited man fell silent.

The driver actually followed Ella's directions.

Ella was being audacious, and the suited man turned to give her a cold stare. "Ms. Brooks, your speech was verypassionate, but I'm afraid I have to disappoint you."

"In the financial world, connections are built on mutual benefit. You offer me nothing of value, so I won't help you."

"Besides, you don't even know who I am. Aren't you afraid I might be a financial scammer?"

Ella shook her head, responding with sincerity and earnestness, "If you were a financial scammer, you wouldn't present yourself so flawlessly without any defects."

"At the very least, you wouldn't be wearing a Patek Philippe and this custom-tailored suit."

The suited man looked down at her with contempt in his eyes. "Ms.Brooks, if your approach to understanding someone begins with examining their external appearance, then I don't believe you're someone worth partnering with."

"People often judge others first by their clothing, then consider their inner qualities, sir. If your outfit costs less than fifty dollars, I certainly wouldn't be flattering you this way. Just as my ordinary office attire is worth several thousand dollars is what makes you willing to give me a second glance. If I were a beggar, I probably wouldn't even have had the chance to share

this ride with you,would I?"

Ella was rather pragmatic.

It was also the first lesson she'd learned entering Quantum Tech.

Strangers always judge appearances before assessing what's inside.

No one gives three minutes of their time to someone who looks unattractive.

Ella was confident in her looks and her silver tongue.

Even if mocked or ridiculed, she would seize this opportunity with everything she had.

The suited man was apparently won over by her words. After studying Ella for a long moment, he recited a string of numbers.

"What's this?" Ella asked.

"My phone number. I have urgent business today and can't discuss artificial intelligence with you, but we'll meet again."

Ella froze, and after a long moment, tears welled in her eyes as she realized what had happened.

She had succeeded!
