Chapter 75: Chapter 75

On the day of the concert, the group met up at the agreed spot.

As soon as Susan saw Wendy, she gave her a big hug and exclaimed,"Wendy, your Mr. Turner is awesomal He got us all super VIP tickets! This is unreal!"

Wendy gently pushed her away."My Mr. Turner? Watch your words."

Susan laughed. "Okay, okay! I'm just too pumped!"

"There's a party after the concert, and our VIP tickets get us in too!" Linda was practically bouncing with excitement.

"I heard that the famous singer Willow is going to perform as a guest tonight," Jessica said, her eyes sparkling as she looked at Wendy.

She asked, "Wendy, isn't Willow your favorite? I remember your dorm room walls were covered with her posters."

Wendy nodded.

She really did like Willow, ever since she was a kid. Willow reminded her of her mother, Scarlett Knight, in some ways.

Her aunt, who lived abroad, bore a slight resemblance to Scarlett, but their temperaments were vastly different, especially after her aunt went through a rough divorce. It was hard to see any trace of Scarlett in her anymore.

In contrast, the singer Willow, whom Wendy had never mnet, had a demeanor that was much more similar to Scarlett's.

Wendy had first heard one of Willow's hit songs when she was young.

In the music video, Willow wore a white dress and sang softly under the moonlight, which reminded Wendy of Scarlett humming in the garden.

There was a frame where Willow looked up slightly, her eyes glistening with tears, which was captured and made into the album cover.

"Wendy, Wendy?" Susan tapped her on the shouldert "What are you thinking about?"

"Nothing," Wendy smiled. "Let's go in."

The concert venue was packed and buzzing with excitemnent.

Colorful lights flashed and intertwined in the night sky, creating a dreamlike atmosphere.

After finding their seats, the energy in the venue grew even more intense.

The fans' cheers and screams were like waves, one after another.

When Royce took the stage, the crowd erupted.

His magnetic voice was like a heavenly melody, piercing through the night and touching everyone's hearts.

Susan,Jessica, and Linda swayed to the music, waving their arms excitedly.

Jessica exclaimed, "He's so hot!"

"Royce, you're the man of my dreams!" Linda shouted enthusiastically.

Wendy was speechless.

Sitting between them, Wendy felt the vibrant atmosphere around her,and the gloom in her heart was gradually lifted by the passionate scene.

Royee's song "Star of Tomorrow" Ignited the crowd, and then Willow took the stagebringing the atmosphere to its penk.

She performed the classic "Twinkling Stars" with deep emotion, her voice melodious and gentle, as if telling a story of endless tenderness and hope.

She played the guitar and sang, "The twinkling stars light our way,my eyes will always follow you. Tomorrow will be more beautifu1. I look forward to that day, please wait and see..."

Wendy watched her quietly, Scarlett's image flashing in her mind.

Her longing felt like a snake coiling around her heart, making it hard to breathe.

Wendy suddenly felt a lump in her throat and her stomach churned.

Jessica noticed and asked, "Wendy, are you okay? Do you feel sick?"

Wendy clutched her chest, taking a moment to calm down.

She whispered, "I'm fine, just a bit uncomfortable. I'll be okay after a rest."

Jessica nodded. "Alright, have some warm water."

She handed Wendy a thermos.

Wendy took a sip, feeling the warmth spread through her body, driving away the chill.

She looked up at Willow on stage, a bitter smile forming on her lips.

After the concert, the crowd began to disperse.

Knowing how much Wendy liked Willow, Susan insisted on taking her to

get a photo with hor.

"Do you like her?" Linda linked arms with Wendy, her eyes shining. "Let's go get a photo together."

Jessica quickly joined in. "I'm coming, too!"

"Aren't you supposed to go back to work?"

"This is Wendy's all-time favorite idol; work can wait." Jessica wrapped her arm around Wendy's other side. "Your idol is my idol too!"

"Don't make a fuss. It would be embarrassing if Willow heard you."Wendy was both excited and nervous, but she couldn't resist her enthusiastic friends and let them lead her forward.

Willow was surrounded by a crowd, with staff closely following, discussing her schedule with utmost respect.

As Wendy and her friends approached, the bodyguards standing by immediately raised their hands to stop them.

"Move aside, don't block the way," Susan said, trying to push past them, but they didn't budge.

The two bodyguards stood tall and stern, their chins raised arrogantly."Move along."

"We just want to say hi to Willow."

"Can't you see she's busy? Don't cause trouble."

Susan, though petite, stood her ground with a fierce attitude. "Why can't we go this way? Do you own this path?"

The bodyguard looked them over but remained unmoved. "There are too many people here. We need to ensure Willow's safety."

"This is ridiculous!" Susan made a move to push forward.

Wendy quickly pulled her back to avoid a confrontation. "We really just want to say hi. If Willow is busy now, we can come back leter."

Seeing her polite and calm demeanor, the bodyguard's tone softened."Willow is about to go for an interview. You can try to meet her at the party later."

However, Willow was constantly surrounded by people, and Wendy couldn't find a chance to approach her even when the party started.

At the party, Willow sat at the main table, far from where Wendy and her friends were.

The main table was filled with important figures, including well-known artists and high-ranking organizers.

It was impossible for them to cross the large banquet hall to disturb her.and they would likely be stopped by staff before getting close.

Jessica started brainstorming. "What if I pretend to faint and create a distraction, drawing the security away so you can get to her?"

"What are you trying to do, gain sympathy?" Wendy laughed. "She has several bodyguards. I'd be carried away before I got close."

"Then you'll be the fan who made headlines with Willow!" Susan slapped her thigh. "You could brag about that for a lifetime."

Just then, there was a commotion at the main table.

The organizers and the big-name stars, including Royce and Willow, stood up, all looking in the same direction.

"What's happening? Who's here?" Susan stood on tiptoe to see.
